Mistico is a custom display typeface inspired by the vibrant spirit of Tepoztlán, a Pueblo Mágico in the Mexican state of Morelos.
The project is rooted in my personal connection to the town, which I grew up visiting from my family hometown of Cuernavaca. I have memories of getting tired from climbing the mountain to El Tepozteco and having my dad carry me all the way up on his shoulders, exploring the artisanal markets, and collecting crystals and handmade jewelry. These experiences shaped my deep appreciation for the town’s color, energy, and mysticism.
Mistico reflects that connection through expressive letterforms that celebrate the cultural heritage, craft, and life of Tepoztlán, a town near and dear to my heart.
